Celebrate Earth Day

On this special day of Celebration for our Mother Earth, I want to share a story with you of how my best friend, Mandy, (who has been in the spirit world for many years now) touched the hearts of her community through her deep love, respect and kindness for our Earth. Amanda loved nature and was always connected with the Earth and the Animal kingdom. Many years prior to her passing, she went on a Shamanic journey and found herself sitting by a river not too far from where she lived. For the first time ever, the river spoke to her, asking for her help. She looked very closely and saw how lifeless and polluted it was becoming. People were throwing garbage into it and contaminating the clear flowing stream. The spirit of the river had asked her to help keep it clean and bring it back to life and beauty. Of course, when she came out of her journey, she had a plan. She had heard the cry for help and immediately arranged to clean the river. It brings tears to my eyes and fills my heart with so much Love for her act of kindness. I not only honor and celebrate our precious Earth but also my dear soul sister and best friend for her selflessness. Allow the Earth to speak to you today. Next Spiritual Author Competition

In November’s newsletter, I shared a story of how a new book wanted to be birthed. The title came through as I was meditating and playing the harp. Soon after the book cover came through very quickly. The Beauty of Forgiveness

There truly is an art in Forgiveness, and yet so many are uncomfortable with the word. Many simply express that they cannot do this…it is too hard, they were too hurt and that the damage is already done. Our greatest teachers are those who have challenged us the most throughout our lives and so we should bless them. I first came across the words of Sri Chinmoy, Internationally renowned world harmony leader, spiritual teacher and humanitarian, in 1991, and these words still echo in my soul.

"Our human mind may call it forgiveness, but God is not thinking about our inner and outer misdeeds. He just wants us to raise our consciousness so that we will increase our receptivity and oneness with Him."

Now is the perfect time as not only do I feel that the theme for 2010 is “Forgiveness” but today is the perfect day to elevate your vibration to a higher frequency as we have definitely entered a new portal. Studies have shown that Forgiveness can improve your well being by letting go of anger and stress. So here is the big question, are you ready to forgive? If you feel that this moment is “Divine Timing” and you would like to take the first step, here are some simple techniques that you may want to use to expand your heart chakra and fill it with love to take you to that higher frequency, the Beautiful Vibration of Forgiveness.

The River of Forgiveness ~ Close your eyes, take a deep breath and continue to focus on your breathing. Take a walk into your sacred garden until it takes you to a free flowing river. Let go of any resentment, anger, frustration or anything else that is keeping you in the grudge game and preventing you from forgiving. When you are ready, let it all go and watch it flow into the endless river as it is transformed into light.

Fire Ceremony ~ you can do this visually or physically. Write a letter to the person who you would like to forgive or whom you would like to forgive you (to yourself if it is you that you are forgiving) and when you are ready, let it go. Watch it go up in flames as it burns away all the energy that you have held on to, or that has been stopping you from moving on with your life.

Check in with your body ~ to see if you are holding any energy associated with unforgiveness. Identify where it is in your body, speak to your body and ask for it to be gently released with Love and Light. If you are ready to do this then allow any emotions that have been suppressed to come forward, and acknowledge and honor your feelings. You may also want to log your experience in your journal.

See the Beauty in Forgiving. Take this opportunity to shift and allow yourself to connect with your feelings. Surrender any negativity that you may have towards yourself or others, and make peace with it. Find it in your heart to forgive, as this will take you to a whole new level in your life. Go ahead…give yourself permission to enter the new portal of Freedom.

The Blessings of Power Animals

One day before New Years Eve, I had a visitor, a new animal friend that I call my Raven-Crow. Twelve years prior, I had a very potent dream about a Raven. It was brought to me and I looked through its eyes and traveled into the unknown—a dark but mystical place that lead me to have clearer vision. Well this precious bird actually did visit me in the physical world and ended up in my Garage. I was so moved that it had chosen me to honour its spirit and assist it to the afterlife, that I started to cry. I took my drum out, burned some sage and started to sing to it. It may sound crazy, but I felt my heart Chakra expanding as tears welled up in my eyes and this beautiful bird filled my essence with so much love…all these years later, my dream had become a reality. Did this beautiful soul and I make a soul contract together; was this pre-arranged twelve years ago? I am still deeply moved by this and even more humble and honoured to be working with the Spirit of the Raven-Crow as it has now presented itself as my new Power Animal and shows up in my journeys and meditations. We all are so very blessed by the animal kingdom. I know that we all have animals working with us and for those of you that have read my book 'Awakening The Divine Soul-Finding Your Life Purpose, you will know how many times I have been guided. From a Wolf warning me of a potentially dangerous situation, the Snowy Owl that comforted me in a dream just before I went into surgery and had my lymph node removed and tested for Cancer. She told me that all would be clear and also showed me that I would be moving to the West Coast of Canada, and four years later, I did, and of course the Cougar helping me to get to the top of the mountain. You see, if you open your heart and believe in the unseen world, the guides that are assisting you on your path, you will see things manifest in the physical world.

Be daring, be brave, go out and live your life no matter what others may think. This is it, your life right now, not tomorrow, not next month, or next year…choose today! What will you decide? The world is yours to discover…did you know that it takes more effort to think about your fears than to think about your dreams?
Spread your wings and get ready to soar…open your heart and get ready to sing your song…it’s your choice, will you choose freedom or limitations? When it really comes down to it, your mind controls everything. It is as simple as altering your state of mind to that of positive thoughts and shifting your feelings. Now really is the time to embrace all that you are, all that you have experienced and all that is to come. It is time to enter the landscaped garden of your soul and ask, what it is that you truly desire? We all have some old shrubs and weeds that need pulling, some flowers need nurturing and others are blossoming beautifully. What aspects of yourself are blossoming, and what weeds need pulling? What attribute is crying out to either embrace, or to change? Let your soul navigate your journey, but most importantly, trust that your soul knows all and will never let you down. Will you choose the straight road in front of you? Or will you jump on that roller coaster and allow the twists and turns and the bumpy roads take you to the place you really desire? There you will find…the canyons of strength, the ocean of creativity and the mountains of fulfillment. The majestic sun is setting within yourself, expanding with illumination to share your beauty and gifts with the world.

Dear Beautiful Souls, what interesting times we are in…one minute the world is in chaos, the next we are finding new resources. As we continue to let go of that which no longer serves it’s purpose, remember to stay focused on your vision. Do you still remember what that is, or has it changed? Do you have new goals for yourself? Sometimes, we find that our old vision is no longer the one that we want to blossom. However, a new goal would not have manifested without the realization of the old one. It is a time of Celebration and an opportunity to purify your mind, body and spirit by getting closer to the truth. This is a great time to move through obstacles and draw on the Divine Source to receive answers to your deepest questions. Give thanks for all that you have and for all of the wonderful things to come. Open your heart even more to receive all of the gifts you will be blessed with. Celebrate by sitting next to a campfire, dance, sing, play music or just do whatever makes you feel good. Spread your love and light into the world. The Power of Intention

I’d like to share with you a story of how potent the Power of Intention can be. (You may know it as The Law of Attraction.) Last August, while I was getting ready to fly to California, my mind began to wander…I had a sudden, burning desire to sit in First Class. I kept seeing myself in the big, comfortable chair on the flight, and enjoying a nice meal with real cutlery and a proper glass to drink out of. After arriving at the airport, I boarded the flight and sat at a window seat in economy, next to an older man in his late seventies. Once again, I found myself imagining that I was in a large, cozy chair in First Class. About twenty minutes into the flight, I really needed to use the washroom. The man next to me and his wife were both fast asleep. I didn’t want to wake them, however my bladder was urging me to make it to the bathroom. I gently nudged the man to wake him up and let me through. He was very angry, and told me to sit somewhere else if I was going to disrupt his sleep again. I was shocked by his rude behavior and dreaded the thought of having to sit next to him for the remainder of the flight. I decided to ask the flight attendant if there were any other seats available. He informed me that the aircraft was full, but after explaining to him how badly the man had treated me, the flight attendant (disguised as my Angel for the day) bluntly said to me, “You don’t have to take that crap.” He told me to grab my things, and promptly moved me to First Class. At this point I had the biggest smile on my face, not only to be getting away from the rude man’s energy, but also because I knew, right there and then, exactly how The Power of Intention really works! What is your intention right now?

Expect the Unexpected

I am so filled with Gratitude that I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for all of the incredible feedback I have received by those who have read my book. It truly touches my soul to know that I am fulfilling my life purpose. I had a vision and a deep calling to take the journey to complete ‘Awakening the Divine Soul’, even though it took me 6 years. I trusted that it would all unfold when the time was right. Divine timing was crucial to its manifestation. I believe that everything we put our heart and soul into will bear fruit at the most perfect moment. Patience is a great teacher…
Around eighteen years ago, I wanted to be a backing vocalist more than anything else in the world. At the time, I really believed this was my life purpose. However, my path drastically changed and I was left feeling hopeless. My dreams had been shattered right before my very eyes. Sometimes, what we believe to be our life purpose is not what we are meant to be doing at all. I turned my back on that particular journey and embarked on a new one. I now look back and realize that I listened to my deeper calling and followed my heart’s desire. Although what I truly wanted did not manifest, it lead me in a new direction to the next chapter of my life. What I am really trying to say, is that even if the path that you believed was your life purpose has not unfolded the way that you wanted it to, honor the road that you have walked, for it has brought you where you are meant to be, and a new path will soon unfol
I am experiencing a blessed energy today and wanted to share my thoughts, love and light with you. Although I was not meant to pursue singing as a career, I still sing whenever I can, as it brings me great joy. I don’t have to be on a stage or in front of a crowd. I can still feel the passion that flows through my body; it is a part of me and will always bring me deeper and closer to my soul.
What gives you joy? What makes your heart sing? When we allow ourselves to feel the passion, expand and share it with the world, we raise our vibration, and when we raise our vibration, we shine more of our light into the world. I believe that our soul navigates our life’s journey and the more open we are to receiving the messages the more synchronicities will follow. So how do we listen to our soul speak to us? Simply by turning down the volume of all that mind chatter that goes on in our heads…yes we are human so our minds tend to wander, but when we are aware that we are running away to far off places, steering away from our core, then we can slow it all down and breathe into our sacred temple, the landscape of the soul…and then take a deep breath, a sigh of relief…we are home…

We arrived at Ayers Rock (or Uluru as the aboriginal people call it). What a bewitching place this was. We had heard that the rock changes color to reflect its mood and we were looking forward to seeing this anomaly. After dinner we went straight back to our room, as I was eager to take a shamanic journey before I fell asleep. I wanted to see if I could connect with the old lady in the cave, once more.
The beat from my drumming CD, led me to the red earth and then to the cave, where a large, green python lay blocking the entrance. I reached out my hand towards the serpent, as I knew he wanted me to hold him. As I picked up the python, he began to wriggle and writhe. I felt that the sinewy snake was challenging me and testing my endurance. Then he relaxed and I felt more at ease. He started guiding me to the old sorceress.
There she was, waiting for me, “Come child… come closer and walk with me.”
She extended her hand for me to follow her.
“Understand what the spirit is… We all have one. The mystery unfolds, you know… You will find yours through your words”.
Kauala and I continued to wander through the cave until we reached a water hole.
“Come and sit here,” she said. “Life is a gift… you just need to understand it. “Know the corners of the world, so that when the strong wind calls, you will hear it, when the moonlit sky glows, you will see it and when the refreshing raindrops fall, you will feel them cleanse you.”
She picked up a piece of black tourmaline and she held it before me. Like a magnet, the powerful stone drew out all of the impurities and negativity from my body. She then took rose quartz and amethyst crystals and put them in front of my body. I felt as though they were integrating into my being. I looked at her in disbelief as she suddenly transformed into a youthful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“It is I,” she replied. “We must all leave our good prints on the sand so that children of future generations may follow into our footsteps…we are all here to share with one another. This is balance…when power is manipulated, it will diminish like dust in the wind. You come here for wisdom…I give you creativity.”
The young woman then transformed back into the sorceress and escorted me to the entrance of the cave. It was time to leave as I could hear the call back of the drum. I knew that I could return and visit her anytime I needed to, as she would always be there for me. I felt honored and gave thanks to her. As I began to reflect on what I had just experienced, I was reminded of when I held my very first snake on a trip to Thailand. For many years, I was afraid of snakes but an opportunity presented itself in Bangkok to at last, overcome my phobia. I placed a python around my neck, an act in which I empowered myself by facing a deep seated dread. We have all known some form of trepidation and I think it is very healthy to face these fears. Sometimes our phobias can be so great that they prevent us from moving forward, or becoming more successful.
The next morning, we were excited to go back to see Uluru. We wondered if the color of the rock would look different today. It started raining and we had read somewhere that if it rains whilst you are at Ayers Rock, it means that one-day you will return. We arrived just in time to witness an eye-catching sight, as jagged streaks of white lightning, pierced the sky over the rock. It was mesmerizing. I felt so very blessed for our family to have seen this and I knew that we would visit here again.

We both felt sad that the others were not with us, but we made the best of it. I had a special blessing that year. For the first time ever, my mother taught me of an old Southern Italian Tradition of Healing. It is something that can only be taught on Christmas Eve. It turned out to be a very unique Christmas, one that I will never forget; I will forever cherish that one and only Christmas spent alone with my dear mother.

During a meditation I had taken before we left England, my spirit guides told me that this trip to Egypt would open up my brow chakra (my third eye) and that it would help me to see things more clearly. I was also there to heal a past life issue that would present itself.
The searing and relentless heat would normally have been unbearable, but I was almost oblivious to it—I was feeling so euphoric to actually be in Egypt, visiting the great pyramids. I decided to take a camel ride to make our journey to the great pyramids even more exciting.
On our way through the town, beads of perspiration trickled down the inside of my top and as my body heat began to rise, I could feel my cheeks turning ruby red. I kept smiling to myself, as I was so grateful for the chance to connect with this historical site. It was strange because on some unknown level, I felt as if I had been here before. It seemed so delightfully familiar to me. I gave thanks to God for bringing me here and for the wonderful opportunity that had unexpectedly presented itself. tree growing in the woodland. I named this tree my Grandmother
Tree and I called her this because she is old and strong.
I started to giggle, I felt like an innocent girl playing freely in
the green hills, amongst beautiful flowers with the soft wind
blowing through my hair. The experience was beginning to
remind me of when I was given laughing gas during childhood
visits to the dentist.
The giddiness ebbed. The strange darkness of the passage had
brought me to my destination, or so I thought. I heard the familiar
sound of running water, which was very soothing and calming
for me—I started to feel much more relaxed. I could hear the
sweet melodies of birds singing and my fear began to evaporate.
I had embarked on a journey and awakened part of my soul.
I came across a small pond and felt compelled to jump into the
still clear water. I found myself swimming underneath, leaving
the air and sunlight behind me.
I felt as though I was going between worlds, the lower and
middle. I felt obliged again. This time I came up to the surface but
I was jolted backwards, discovering it was solid ice. I could not
break through. I swam until, suddenly, I was met by a polar bear
that had pierced the frozen barrier with the strength of his paw. I
gently broke through the splintered ice and as my head popped
up, I saw a new landscape.
This was a snowy white plateau surrounded by mountains, it
was very cold but, curiously, this did not bother me. I looked up
and I could see a brightly lit sky with hundreds of stars shining
down on the spectacular scenery. I pulled myself out of the water
and was immediately met by an Inuit man.
He had chocolate-brown eyes, short black hair, chiseled cheekbones
and a wispy moustache. I guessed he was around forty
years old and carried a great strength with him. He stood tall and
I knew instinctively that not even the greatest wind force could
knock him down. We looked into each other’s eyes and he smiled
warmly at me. There was something very familiar about this man,
as if I had known him all my life. For the first time, I had met a
spirit guide.
In the distance I could hear Arctic wolves howling. These
mysterious sounds made me feel comfortable and welcomed by
this beautifully barren landscape. In a strange way it felt like
